PILOT TRAINING (COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENSE)

The Commercial Pilot License (CPL) program is an extensive training curriculum designed to enable individuals with a passion for aviation to transition into professional aviators, qualified to fly for compensation or hire. This course encompasses a diverse array of theoretical and practical topics, ensuring that pilots acquire the essential knowledge and skills required for the safe and efficient operation of aircraft.
Pilot Training comprises of two parts. Ground Training and Flying Training!

GROUND TRAINING :

Pilot ground training encompasses a variety of modules that cover theoretical aspects of aviation, providing essential knowledge for aspiring pilots. Here are common course modules for pilot ground training:

Duration 6 months

Pre requisites:

  • 10+2 or high school diploma or its equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks in Mathematics and Physics
  • Proficient in English Language

Course Modules:

  • Introduction to Aviation:
    • Overview of the aviation industry, its history. Introduction to different types of aircraft and their roles in aviation.

  • Aerodynamics:
    • Principles of flight, including lift, drag, thrust, and gravity.

  • Meteorology:
    • Basics of meteorology, weather phenomena, and their impact on aviation.

  • Navigation:
    • Fundamentals of navigation, including charts, maps, and navigation instruments.

  • Air Law and Regulations:
    • Overview of aviation regulations and legal aspects.

  • Aircraft Systems:
    • In-depth study of various aircraft systems, including engines, avionics, hydraulics, and fuel systems.

  • Communication:
    • Radio communication procedures and phraseology.
    • Effective communication with air traffic control (ATC) and other aircraft.

  • Flight Planning:
    • Techniques for planning cross-country flights. Use of charts, navigation tools, and fuel planning.

  • Emergency Procedures:
    • Handling emergency situations, including engine failures, system malfunctions, and in-flight emergencies.

  • Crew Resource Management (CRM):
    • Importance of effective communication and teamwork in the cockpit.
    • Training on collaboration and decision-making within a flight crew.

  • Aviation Security:
    • Overview of aviation security protocols and procedures.

These modules collectively provide aspiring pilots with a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical aspects of aviation, preparing them for the challenges they may encounter during flight training and their future careers as pilots.


FLYING TRAINING:

The hands-on training component of the Commercial Pilot License course entails flight hours under the guidance of an instructor, allowing students to enhance their practical skills and gain real-world flying experience. This phase involves mastering advanced maneuvers, precision flying, honing navigation techniques, and refining decision-making abilities in diverse weather conditions.

To qualify for the Commercial Pilot’s License, the candidate must fulfill a total of 200 hours (Two hundred hours) of flight time. This flight time breakdown comprises:

  • One hundred hours as Pilot-in-Command.
  • Twenty hours of cross-country flight time as Pilot-in-Command.
  • Ten hours dedicated to instrument training.
  • Five hours of flight time during the night.

Duration 1 year

Pre requisites:

  • Applicants are required to have successfully completed their 12th grade with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board.
  • candidates must meet medical fitness standards.
  • Possess essential attributes for eligibility include a strong emphasis on multitasking, analytical skills, effective problem-solving abilities, quick learning aptitude, sound decision-making capabilities, and proficient communication and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstration of proficiency in the English language.


Upon completing the Commercial Pilot License course, candidates are subjected to a practical test. This evaluation assesses their flying skills, knowledge, and decision-making abilities. It’s essential to note that these requirements are general guidelines and may vary based on the regulations of the overseeing aviation authority.
